Kicking Horse – 120cms of snow in 72 hours!
Opening early!
With 120 cms falling in 72 hours (100 in 48 hours!), the snowfall this year at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Canada, is already at 230 cms of the fluffy white stuff!

Silver Star Ski resort Now Open!
With 72 cms of snow at the top of Silver Star’s ski runs and more in the forecast, they now have the green light to start the Comet 6-Pack Express and Silver Queen lifts and get the downhill ski season going for the winter. Whistler Mountain will be opening 6 Days Early because of the new snow and low freezing levels. Blackcomb Mountain will open on Thursday 25 November 2010, Whistler Blackcomb’s official opening day.

More Terrain open in Banff-Lake Louise
13 November 2010: Mt Norquay opened today, adding to the runs already available in Banff-Lake Louise. Mt Norquay will now be open for weekends only.
Seven days a week opening for Mt Norquay is scheduled for 3rd December 2010.

Snowy Start to November at Whistler Blackcomb
Whistler Blackcomb is busy preparing for the upcoming ski and snowboard season with over 70 cm (28 in) of snow falling in the past week. Last season in November Whistler Blackcomb experienced the snowiest month ever with 560 cm (220 in). With the La Niña weather system forecasted to bring cooler temperatures and more precipitation than normal to the region, could this be the start to another record month?
